IJF Board of Directors / Col. (Ret) David Leckrone

David Leckrone is a consultant on military and veteran affairs at Leckrone Military Consulting, and he brings this consulting expertise to our board. Leckrone is a retired Illinois Army National Guard Colonel as well as a Legion of Merit recipient, an honor for his more than 28 years in the National Guard. He is a natural leader, and his leadership policy is to lead by example.  As he says, “When you lead people, never ask anybody to do something you wouldn’t do yourself. Always put the shoe on the other foot and look through the eyes of the soldiers you lead”.
