Don Cooke the Senior Vice President for Philanthropy at the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, and has been with McCormick for over 10 years.  He attended Williams College and Harvard University, and has held multiple nonprofit management positions over the years, from working at the Field Museum to the Fels Planetarium and more. Cooke is the author of many papers, articles, and a book "The Life and Death of Stars".  He often lectures on Astronomy, as well as Nonprofit Management.  In addition to IJF, Don serves on the boards of The Chicago Council of Global Affairs, Truth in Accounting, and the USO of Illinois.
