IJF Team / Michael Smith

A retired U.S. Navy officer, Michael currently serves as a Care Coordination Specialist for IJF's Care Coordination Center at the Chicago Lighthouse. In this role, he assists with processesing assistance requests and connecting service members, veterans, and their families to the resources available to them within their community.

In addition to his work with IJF, Michael has a strong interest in film and broadcasting and aspires to write a screenplay about this experiences as a Veteran. A Detroit native, Michael studied at San Jose City College in California.
